The North Lincs CycloSportive is basically a long training ride with the useful addition of a map and directions.
The ride sets off from Brigg Town Football Club, a new venue with plenty of parking facilities for everyone, at 8am. Riders will be able to choose whether
they do the full 100 miles or cut the route short to 100 km near Market Rasen at the 44 mile mark, after feed station 1. The ride is limited to 500
riders so secure your place now for £16.
All riders will be provided with a sandwich, crisps, sis electrolyte, flapjack, haribo and the famously good homemade cakes!
Entries will be available on the day (subject to maximum entries limit) at an increased entry price of £25.
The sportive is organised by Lincsquad with all profits being split
equally between the Lindsey Lodge Hospice & the Nottinghamshire
& Lincolnshire Air Ambulance Trust.
After the sad loss of Paul Kirk during the sportive in 2011 from a
previously unknown heart complaint, the North Lincs CycloSportive was
permanently renamed to ‘The Paul Kirk North Lincs Cyclosportive’. Paul
was a keen cyclist and charity fund raiser and this seems a fitting
tribute in his memory. He was a regular fund raiser for the Lyndsey
Lodge Hospice.

Lodge Hospice offers very special care for people in the North
Lincolnshire area living with life-limiting conditions such as cancer,
multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease. Every year hundreds of
patients and their loved ones benefit from the care and support that
they provide free of charge.
In February 2013, Lincsquad tragically lost a club mate, committee
member & friend, Christian Brown, in a tragic cycling accident.
Christian was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary in a critical condition
by the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance but
unfortunately he didn’t recover.
Both charities are extremely worth while and well deserving of our
support, on their behalf, Lincsquad thank you for your support.
The Sportive starts and finishes at Brigg Town Football Club, Brigg. There are facilities at the Club where you can get changed and have a shower.
